Produced by Kassim Masdor, Sanisah Huri’s 1978 album combines solo performances with duets featuring M. Ramlee on “Teringat Selalu (Bersamamu),” “Mama, Jangan Sibuk” and “Wajah Cermin Hati.” Poetry also plays a part in the programme, through “Sajak Berlagu Buat Kekasih” and “Pertanyaanku,” which incorporates the poem “Suratan.” With arranging contributions from Johari Salleh and others, the album explores the close relationship between song, verse and romantic expression within Malay-language pop.
