Hong Kong singer Louie Castro’s 1979 English-language album was produced by Joe Wong, with arrangements and conducting by David Packer and Joey Villanueva. Disco hits including “Y.M.C.A.,” “Love Is in the Air” and “I Was Made for Dancin’” sit alongside Chris Rea’s “Fool (If You Think It’s Over),” Seals & Crofts’ “You’re the Love” and selections from Barry Manilow’s repertoire. Its twelve tracks bring together dance-pop exuberance, soft rock and familiar ballads, offering a snapshot of Hong Kong’s English-language pop scene at the close of the 1970s.
